Beverley Superdrug Autumn Loot List

When something new opens in a historic market town, it usually causes quite the stir – for some in a good way and those of a more conservative disposition, not always so good initiallySo when the Flemingate Shopping Centre opened a year ago in Beverley, it got a lot of reaction. I, for one, was over the moon that we’d have a few more modern high street shops to complement our lovely independent boutiques in the town.

H&M, Outfit, Debenhams and River Island have brought so much life to the town and I’m loving being able to nip over there to snag the latest season’s fashions that I’m lusting after.

When Superdrug opened there recently, it was a welcome addition to the scene, especially as they have a handy pop up brow bar for when the unruly beasts need threading. Superdrug kindly sent me a care package full of lovely goodies from the new store to try and I’ve been using them since.

Everyone has been raving about micellar water for ages but I’m not always the most up on my beauty products usually, so I was thrilled when I got some tea tree micellar water in my goodie bag. I’m normally a face wipe at the end of the night kind of girl (naughty I know) but this is just as fast but soooo much better for my skin. It doesn’t leave it feeling tight or dry and removes every last scrap of make up. This is definitely going to become a regular purchase for me.
I also love the gorgeous Balmi lip bam which comes in a pretty rose gold packaging and has a very interesting cone shape to it. I’m not sure why – maybe to stop that annoying bit at the bottom getting wasted? – but it works for me. It also has a lovely fruit taste.
I’m a big fan of body butters and anything ultra moisturising so receiving this lemon 3 in 1 foam, scrub and soap, was perfect. The zesty lemon scent really helps to get me going in a morning – especially now I’ve started a new job and have to get up at the crack of dawn to beat the traffic! I was also sent some of the Active Range products which will be great for adding to my gym bag when I’m on the go.
After trying all of this, I was excited to get in the store on opening weekend and see what else they had. I had booked to have my eyebrows threaded but you can just turn up pretty much any time in the week and for 6 pound they take those unruly slugs and turn them into well defined brows that have got game. The place I used to get my brows done is so far away from where I work so I’ll definitely be using this service regularly now.

Whilst I was there I decided to treat myself to some new perfume with the gift card Superdrug kindly sent me. I have always loved Stella perfume for work – it’s classy, elegant and lasts all day. I bought the 30ml eau de parfum and received a free cuddly Reindeer, which the Carnivore thought was hilarious, as I lugged it around town with me. But if you have littlies it is a lovely extra gift to add to their stocking. The offer is on until end of November if you spend over 30 pounds.
There are some lovely Xmas gifts in store – not to mention the amazing Zoella’s new range and I’ve got my eye on a few bits and pieces (I hope the Carnivore was paying attention).
Even the little white rabbit gave his approval or my Superdrug loot list which is high praise indeed!
Have you checked out the Xmas gift section of Superdrug yet? Are there any must have products I should add to my list?

I was treated to my eyebrows threading and the lady literally went to town on them! Such a great job!
