Interiors: 3 ways to quickly and instantly update your hallway

It's been hard continuing the renovations across the cottage with two littles at home 24/7 and a pandemic but we have made a few changes to the hall and landing as a mini glow up.

The hallways were painted in Farrow and Ball Ammonite to replace the slightly grubby green we had had for a few years and now looks much sleeker.

We also replaced the mis matched frames on our gallery wall full of beloved family pictures which were more in keeping with shabby chic theme we used to have before the renovation.

Finding good frames that don't cost a fortune is tough but these lovely square frames with over size mounts were a steel at £5 each.

They have really transformed the look of this space and the symmetry ot lush. We've added new prints of the kids and I'm sure we will keep adding or replacing prints as they get older and we go on more adventures.

The woodwork has a had a fresh coat of white satin and there is a new chandelier at the top of the stairs. I maybe should have gone bigger with it being a tall space but it makes more of a feature anyway. The next things on the list are to get new pendant lights throughout the hall, and perhaps add some panelling. I would love to also add a stair runner at some point but all of this will have to wait for now.

Have you done any glow up projects over lockdown?
