Simple juice recipe with the Breville Blend Active

Just Beet it...
In an effort to get back to a fitness routine at the gym, I've not only treated myself to a few new bits of kit, like some funky new trainers, but I also felt that a few additions to my diet would also help boost my health. With this in mind I took to the web to ask people whether juicers/ juicing was worthwhile.

I've long fancied giving it a try to get some extra vitamins and minerals in my diet but didn't fancy the faff or expense. All signs pointed towards purchasing this nifty little Breville Blend Active blender, which yes, is not strictly a juicer but with the addition of a bit of muslin or even a sieve, can transform smoothies into juices. Having read a lot about the subject, I'm not convinced that having the juice without the fibre is the right way to go anyway, so I'm blitzing everything I can get my hands on.

The great thing about this product is that you can just pop the blender cap off, put on the sports cap, and away you go! It's brill for quick breakfasts and trips to the gym, especially with the addition of a bit of protein powder.

Here's one I made earlier.

Just Beet It
1 cups spinach
1 cup kale
1 cup vita cocoa water (or just tap water)
2 oranges, peeled
1 cooked beet

Handful frozen mixed berries (to taste)
Juice of ½ lemon

I feel healthier just looking at it!
