Chuck in some chintz for a vintage home look

I spent the weekend browsing the gorgeous shops in York and decided to amble around the Cath Kidston store. Whilst Cath Kidston has been a home staple for a while now, no-one could have forseen how popular the chintz look was going to become again. It perfectly sums up the vintage, austere, home-comfort vibe that is permeating fashion, interior design and our leisurely pursuits at present.
Whilst I think this look can be a little much if taken to the extreme, I did see some gorgeous shabby-chic armchairs, that would look great next to a modern sofa, and some wallpapers that would liven up a feature wall. So, venture with caution but also have some fun with it, as these accessories can bring life and warmth to modern, minimalist decors. Then, sit back and enjoy a well-earned pot of tea in the gorgeous Jamie at Home bone china. Ahhh....
